CSR
As a major business, we are in the fortunate position of being able to make a difference in people’s lives.
We actively invest in the communities in which we operate. Working with local charities and other partners, we deliver sustainable, impactful projects in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, skills-development, education and peacekeeping.
Bursaries
In late 2014, in partnership with the Department of Military Veterans, the Paramount Group launched a multi-million rand high-tech skills development programme. Young descendants of Military veterans are taken through a programme of bursaries for tertiary education placements and on-the-job apprenticeships. Not only does the programme uplift the Military veterans’ family, it is also expected to play a key role in advancing the South African defence industry, and enabling the Group to meet its future growth plans.
Skills / Interns
Paramount Group believes in equipping the younger generation with the necessary skills to become thought leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs. We do this through various skills development programmes, apprenticeships and internships within our many departments.
MANDELA DAY
Paramount honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela every year by supporting organisations that are looking after the well being and future of South Africa’s youth. In 2016 our employees staged fund raising events which enabled us to donate stationary and food parcels to Ivory Park Primary School in Tembisa. We also supported the Siyazigabisa Home of Hope in Tembisa by hosting the children for a fun-filled day and by donating funds towards their critical operational needs. Our Chairman matched the funds that were raised by all the staff. As part of our community investment and involvement, we look forward to adopting orphanages in each of the communities we operate.
